Project Delivery
Prospatek Project Approach
Small businesses have little time to devote to website development. Here at Prospatek, your website project will fit around your time and availability.
Gathering information takes time. We help you with your ideas and offer suggestions. Photos, images, and graphics are needed: we help with image transfer, copying, and image editing.
We meet with you during the project, taking notes, clarifying your notes, obtaining images, and just getting to know you and your business.

Preparation
At the initial consultation we discuss the website objectives with you. When the order is placed for a new website:
- We give you a to-do list (project plan) listing the tasks to be done, by who and by when
- The to-do list is tailored to you, using information from the consultation.
- A design questionnaire is completed with you to clarify design and layout preferences
The plan includes all aspects of the project: securing and management of domain names, branding and design, logos in suitable formats, gathering information, defining contact forms or bespoke functions, photography, setting up e-mail addresses.
Website Setup and Content
We install WordPress, the theme and plugins. The website design is configured using your design preferences with your branding and images. Core pages are added.
Web pages created based on the information you supply. The website is set for further information and products to be added later.
For an e-commerce website we setup initial products and the shop structure.
Payment and shipping options are important considerations. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) can be expensive to comply with: for small businesses, there is an option with minimal risk.
Go Live and Training
The website is put live, that means hooking it up to your domain name and final configuration. It can then be indexed by Google and other search engines, and you can link to it.
Training is provided by Prospatek. We show how to use and update your WordPress website. Training takes between 1 and 2 hours, more if a shopping cart is enabled. We provide a training document for you to keep with instructions for the important functions.
Live Search Engine Optimisation
WebOptimise (Bronze) is free with all Prospatek websites.
Working with you and understanding your business, search words and phrases are identified for optimisation of website content.
After go-live, the additional setup includes registering with Google and Bing, setting up structured data for business information and security settings.
As your website content changes, optimisation factors will need adjusting. This is explained during training. We can optionally help re-optimise your website and run audits as an additional service.
