There are many graphic design software packages available, expensive to free, easy to use to more challenging, poor output and better quality output.

Over the years I have found for web graphics and images, a combination of the Adobe suite and Xara Designer Pro works well.

For its ease of use and flexibility, Xara Designer software produces good results allowing both bitmap and vector elements within the same file, ideal for website owners to easily create their own graphics for use on their website.

Photo Editing

Product Catalog images on a website need to be consistent in proportion and size. Other website images may need cropping or reducing in size.

There are very good online free services that can help, or use Photoshop, Xara or similar.
