Is there a size limit for a Carver2 web site ?

You can add content pages and products to your website as long as it fits into your allocated web space. A standard Carver2 site comes with 15MB of web-space which will hold around 30 content pages and 100 product entries. This is more than sufficient for most business information websites. For larger websites additional space can be added for a small charge.

For large, high use e-commerce websites, we have available our advanced server based Carver2 system (Carver ADV). This is the same Carver2 system, but running on a larger server with a larger allocation of standard web-space and larger traffic bandwidth. Carver2 systems with many hundreds of products is possible with this configuration.

Are there any legal requirements that apply specifically to Company websites

A website for a limited company or a limited liability partnership must have specific information on the website: the registered name, registered number, place of registration, registered office address, and if VAT registered the VAT number, membership details of any trade or professional organisation, an e-mail address (not just a contact form), and any prices given must be clear and unambiguous and state whether VAT is included or not.

The information must be legible and easy to find. In most cases the company information will be on an "about us" or "contact us" page. A statement about any pricing structure is better places on a "terms and conditions" page or a page that describes "how to buy".

All e-mails must contain the company registration details, and the VAT number if VAT registered.

What if I don't want to change my website myself

We have clients who like what we do, but leave the changes to us. With a Carver CMS, the option is always there to take over updates yourself.
